JEN 2026 is the board's combined direct recruitment of Junior Engineers for three state departments: Public Works, Water Resources and Public Health Engineering. Advertisement 10/2026 offers 874 posts at pay matrix level 10, for civil engineers with a degree or a diploma and for mechanical or electrical engineers with a diploma. There is no CET step.
The exam is one paper of 120 marks in 2 hours. Part A, 40 marks, covers Rajasthan's history, art, culture, traditions and heritage, its geography, and its political and administrative system; Part B, 80 marks, is the engineering of your branch. All questions are multiple choice with equal marks, a wrong answer costs one third of its marks, and you need at least 40 percent to be eligible for appointment.
You must be at least 18 and under 40 on 1 January 2027, with one extra year for everyone because there has been no JEN recruitment since the 2024 one. Each post category needs its own application, and your department is decided by your merit and the department preference you filled in.
